It’s Thursday, so I went back to 2009 and looked at some of the posts from November and December. Here are some gems inspired by the Kraus Kids.
2009
Maizie wet her My Little Pony’s tail and mane because she wants “A rock star pony”
Teddy pooped in the upstairs toilet today. Teddy (age 3) requires assistance with the clean up aspect of using the can. Teddy did not call for said assistance after going this morning. Teddy left his pants on the floor of the bathroom and came down the stairs on his butt. This left the dog wondering why Teddy isn’t… in trouble. Daddy is hitting the stairs with the carpet cleaner and a poor attitude.

Maizie will say a swear phrase and the only word she says correctly is the swear, Stella got out of her crib at naptime and locked her door and Teddy will leave the room and return with no pants on what so ever.
Stella continues to think she’s Tawny Kitaen in a Whitesnake video.

Conversation I had with Teddy yesterday.
T:why are you tired,
Me:because you keep coming in my bed at night and squish me,
T:that’s because you don’t move over.
Gotta love his reasoning.
Maizie just told me our “audium balls” (ornaments) were magical because Santa is magic.

Just took a Christmas card picture. Stella was less than cooperative, Teddy wouldn’t stop singing and Maizie had her shoes on the wrong feet. Oh well, that’s typical. Then Maizie didn’t want to take off her fancy dress and Teddy is walking around with just his underwear (on backwards) and his dress shoes. Stella has been sent to the pack n play until further notice.
If I have to watch Hero of the Rails one more time I’ll send Hiro to the smelter’s yard myself.
My aunt in Florida sent some presents, last night I put them under the tree. What a HUGE mistake.

Reading these takes me back and looking at the pictures, they were so little!
I am sorry, but I just burst out laughing so hard at Teddy sliding his way down the stairs with a poopy bum. I know at the time it wasn’t funny, but I am sure you can laugh about it now!
Gotta love the joys of parenting. Ups and down but, all so worth it.
Pictures really do bring back the moment. I know that we enjoy looking back at photos together and they love hearing the stories around the photos!
Kids can really keep you on your toes! It sounds like you guys have a great sense of humor about it all though and that’s the important thing. 🙂
It’s so fun to look back on holiday memories. Makes me sad and so happy at the same time!
It is just so much fun to take a trip down memory lane. I have a bunch of old YouTube videos on my YouTube channel that I occasionally look back upon now that my first born is a teenager, I love watching her little face back in the day. The things she said and did, even my sons memories in those videos are just precious!
Kids are simply amazing. They say and do the cutest and craziest things but it’s completely logical at the same time. This brings me back to when my kids were younger. Thanks for sharing your memories.
How fun to go back and look at things our kids did. I love looking through old photos and videos.
I love looking back through the memories. It’s always so much fun to see how much they have changed.
They grow so fast. Every time I see a picture of my kids from not long ago, it’s amazing how little they look.
Fun. We love to look back at photos and videos of the kids. Thanks for sharing some of your look-back.
Isn’t it amazing how we can look back and laugh at things that were not so laughable at the time? These memories and photos are precious. I’m still laughing about the unwrapped presents.
This made me laugh out loud! My kids are all pretty big now but this brought back many memories, thank you so much!
Those were fun things to look back to.
Loved going down memory lane with you in this post. My own 4 kids (including triplets) just went off to college and it also made me think back to the time when they were young and reckless and made me LAUGH!
Parenting is such an adventure some days! There are so many beautiful, precious moments… and then, there are cringe-worthy moments (stairs incident) lol! Thanks for sharing these memories! 🙂
Ha ha ha! I love these memories, they’re adorable! In the moment, they’re not always great but give it a few years, and you can’t do anything but laugh!
The photo with the wrapping paper on the floor, and its caption… LOL They do grow up so quickly. It’s wonderful to have photos and memories to look back on.
Hahaha this post had me in stitchings, your kids are so funny and there reasoning is interesting. I love throwback pictures and posts
These are indeed some interesting memories for you to laugh at later. I have to admit the stair incident is one that I have never heard of before. lol These are all great photos.
I always love looking back at old pictures of the kids and reminiscing. There is always tons of laughter remembering some of the things they’ve said/done.
AH, taking a walk down memory lane–we love to get out old pictures and do the same thing!
Thanks for sharing your memories with us. We always put out our gifts early. Thankfully the kids don’t open them they just count who has the most.
It’s really nice to hear kids reason out. Sometimes, they come up with smart remarks that are true.
lol. i love this post. thanks for the share. great pics and i love the story about Teddy and his poop. lol
The joys of parenting, lol! I love looking back at the things my kids have done. They grow up just too fast.
Oh, I know it’s hard when it happens! But the carpet cleaner aspect to it is pretty hilarious!
My kids are only 2 and 4 and I find that I’m already looking back at ‘old’ photos and reminiscing!
Oh gosh poop all the way down the stairs. I don’t know what I would do if that happened!! Also, did they unwrap all the presents? My kids have never done that, and I was always afraid they would!!
You really can look back with a smile and some of the things they said and did. You have to love that about parenting!
Hahahaha this is golden memories in the making! You may wish to show this gem to them when they’re all grown ups and maybe just slightly tease them hahaha
