Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for the phrase “Mommy I’m done!” How else would I know that a tiny hiney has to be wiped? One of the kids might end up sitting there all day, or at least until I had to go.
I am thankful that I know have all my sister’s old Barbie stuff. I was wondering what I could add to my floors, something was missing. Now my floor is missing. By the way, stepping on a Barbie shoe is almost as bad as stepping on a Lego, especially if the heel is facing up.

I am thankful that along with oodles of Barbie doll accessories, we are now in possession of mine and my sister’s Cabbage Patch Kids. I think there are 3 regular dolls, 2 preemies and 1 or 2 Koosas along with all their accessories. Have the kids kept those in their room, oh come on. That stuff is also on the living room floor. The preemies do spend much of their time tucked into the couch, so now there’s no talking allowed in there either.

I am thankful the 80s style is coming back. It’s been so dreary and I really need an excuse to wear my sunglasses indoors. Besides all those Barbie fashions that have made their way into my living room are now oh so stylish (with the exception of the puffy sleeves, I’m sure that will happen in the next few seasons).
I am thankful for cereal. If it wasn’t for cereal, Stella might starve to death. She has a bowl about 3-4 times a day. Sometimes she wants it dry, other times wet. She’s always game to trying a new kind; the only kind she hasn’t liked is Honey Smacks.
Feel the need for more thankfulness? Head over to Joanna’s page Baby Gator’s Den and read others.

  1. LOL! Your posts never fail to crack me up. I won't let my mom give me my old barbie stuff…I tell her to keep it at Nana's!! No room at my house. 🙂

  2. Your posts always make me laugh! My sister and I LOVED playing Barbies when we were kids. I wish we had kept some of our Barbie stuff! Maybe we should come to your house when we need a fix. 🙂

  3. Love this post! You brought me back to 1959 when I got my first Barbie. I still have her… and Jane Couto Govednik, I still have YOUR Barbie and Cabbage Patch Kids' stuff. Lots of it! I also love 80's stuff, so fun and colorful and now so… dare I say it, retro! Thanks for the smiles today!
