It started as a normal situation, Teddy and Stella got into a fight. Nothing new, it happens seven to eight times a day (with three kids, there’s always an argument over something).
This one was over one of Teddy’s light sabers. He came downstairs all in a lather saying Stella broke one of his light sabers. He said she grabbed it and broke it. It was in two pieces, but it was able to be slid back into place. He was all worked up because it “wasn’t the same anymore”.
Stella is known for grabbing things, so I was pretty miffed about this whole incident. I called her into the room and was ready to tear into her. Then she fills in the rest of the story…
Teddy held out the light saber for her to hold on to as he tried to lift her. Poor judgment on both of them.
I confronted Teddy with my new found information, which he had no choice but to admit his part in the terrible decision. I told him it was just as much his fault as it was Stella’s.
He wasn’t happy.
A few minutes later, Stella came running done stairs in tears.
“Teddy blew up my world!”
She has an array of Mi World shops in her room and I thought that was what she was talking about.
I couldn’t have been more wrong! (It took me a few minutes to figure out what happened.)
All three of the kids have there Minecraft world linked up on their tablets. Well, Teddy went into Stella’s world and set off a whole lot of TNT and blew up a bunch of her stuff.

Man was she upset. She was crying about not being able to get her animals back in their pen.
This is where my parenting skills are lacking because I started laughing and couldn’t keep a straight face (I tried SO hard). So I told her we need to go take this problem to Daddy.
This conversation went on for twenty minutes about how what happened with Stella and the light saber was an accident, but what Teddy did was on purpose and that was a big difference.
It was just another weekend in the Kraus House.
That happens here all the time. One will get mad at the other for something, go into the other one’s Minecraft and blow a bunch of stuff. Then the victim comes crying…just like clockwork.
I’m glad only my son was into MineCraft. I could have definitely seen this happening at my house if both my kids had been into it.
The story made me LOL! My son has Minecraft and he gets very upset if anybody messes with it. I can only imagine the conversation that ensued over there.
Oh gosh, that sounds like something that would have happened in my house! I would have had a hard time keeping a straight face too.
Oh no! I remember those days so well. One minute they are the best of friends and the next they are ready to kill each other.
I can relate. They no longer burn up each other’s stuff, but I occasionally get, “Mom, can you tell Finn to stop spawning sheep!!”
“Finn! Stop spawning sheep!” – (things I never thought I would say as a parent.
HAHAH! Too cute! i love that you laughed, because I would have cracked up, too!
Oh my gosh, like you, I started laughing too. Is this what I have to look forward to? We have 2 kids right now, but plan on having at least 1 more. Haha, kids are just too funny.
We have had similar with Minecraft before!! It’s hard not to laugh but they do work hard to build their rooms and worlds on these games!
I think we live the same life in a parallel universe because my kids are also guilty of going into each other’s Minecraft worlds and causing trouble. Who would have thought with technology at an all time high, the top video game would be pixelated on purpose.
Oh my goodness that sounds so familiar! My nieces and nephews all play Minecraft together and mostly they get along but sometimes there is some revenge enacted during the game. It’s so frustrating!
Hahaha I love that they all play with each other. In my house those blow ups would definitely be blow ups. Mice craft is all the rage.
Just another day in the life of parents! Understanding what kids are upset about can require so much investigation!
I so wish I understood Minecraft better. My son is always going on about it.
Oh I would have a hard time keeping a straight face too. But I can imagine how devastated she must have been. Poor thing!
Parenting is so different than it was 20 years ago! There is so many new avenues to worry about and manage. It is exhausting.
Oh no! I have to admit I did have a giggle at this – I know nothing about Minecraft at all. x
How precious! My siblings are addicted to that game, so this was really funny for me to read!
Things like this used to happen all the time when my kids were younger. Minecraft is such a popular game. I need to check it out.
I would have had a hard time not laughing as well. This sounds like a night at my house.
I know nothing about Mincraft but it sounds serious !
This made me laugh! It’s crazy how obsessed with Minecraft kids are haha!
sometimes as a mother all you can do is laugh during those situations… as a matter of fact it happened today in my household!
My kids don’t play Mine Craft. I hope that you and your husband were able to figure out how to deal with the explosion. My kids have been known to fight too. It’s normal to a degree.
Sounds like my family and the best way for one of them to go crazy is to mess with their Minecraft world. You’d think it was a real life world the way they act.
Oh boy, you do have your hands full. I am just learning the Minecraft lingo as my little one ventures into this new world. I’m pretty sure I would have cracked up and tried to recover with little to no success as well. Sometimes it’s good to have daddy step in. 😉
None of my kiddos are into Minecraft, but this happens on the daily here about a hundred times a day about other things. I can’t help but laugh sometimes and just shake my head.
My grand kids play Minecraft and are trying to get me to play. I had a giggle about your experience because my grands are so serious about their Minecraft world.
That is so funny. Sounds like something my niece and nephew would do and I would laugh too.
I’ve never played Minecraft so I can not relate but it sounds very dramatic! LOL!
I’m sorry but that’s hilarious! Poor Stella but the idea of Teddy plotting and scheming as revenge makes me giggle.
This made me giggle!! We play board games in our house and we can be pretty competitive.
lol!! Game are serious business in your house!
It would be an effort to keep myself from laughing! Your kids are so serious about minecraft, it’s so cute!
I don’t think I could have kept a straight face either!! LOL! Poor thing. My son is begging to start minecraft- but we haven’t quite gone there yet.
